This is the official English website of the Japan Society of International Economics (JSIE). This website, along with the Japanese website, offers the latest news and information on JSIE.
JSIE was founded on April 29, 1950 with the aimof promoting academic research in theoretical, empirical and policy-oriented international economics. JSIE holds annual conferences, publishes proceedings in the official bulletin,The International Economy, and promotes coordination with academic associations inside and outside Japan. Every year, JSIE holds a Spring Meeting (in May or June) and an Annual Meeting (in October). In addition, the three regional branches of the JSIE (Kanto, Chubu, and Kansai branches) provide workshops regularly.
In addition toThe International Economy,theofficial English-language journal, JSIE publishes Kokusai Keizai, the officialJapanese-language journal.JSIE also presents two awards annually: the Kojima Kiyoshi Prize and the Oda Prize.
